2013 has started with good rains and lots of interesting sightings and viewings in camp and the environs. The rain has brought an amazing variation in flowers and fungi, insects and birdlife and the animals are adjusting to the season of plenty. Hopefully the new photos in the Portfolio section give you the idea of the beauty of Katavi in rains.

Camp will be closing mid-February when the Big Rains will make getting around and about very difficult. A chance for the hard working staff to get the chance to take leave and get a well deserved rest.

Looking forward to the new season, new guests and hopefully some friends returning, two legged and four!
