During the past year I have been concentrating on a lot of new writing projects, one of which has resulted in a new title,"The Magic Fish Bones", published by Struik Ltd of South Africa in May 2006. This is the second of several new books to be published by Struik that will continue the popular series of African wildlife folklore tales.

My recent trips to Gabon and Uganda have confirmed my thoughts that a similar book on the animals and their folklore of Central Africa would not only prove equally as popular as the material from Southern and Eastern Africa, but would help highlight the plight that too many of the species endemic to the rainforest region face.

Educating the young, hopefully to become more environmentally responsible adults, by using the wealth of enjoyable and informative traditional material about the worlds' wildlife is something I believe in passionately and is an area that I will be devoting a lot of my energies towards.

My freelance credits include numerous articles for national and international newspapers such as The London Times, Guardian and Observer and for Travel/Wildlife/Photographic magazines.

In an exciting recent upgrade Struik has placed much of its catalogue of books on the Google Books project website. Luckily my books are now live on this groundbreaking technological breakthrough in the publishing world and viewers can click onto the link below, type my name in the search box and look at samples from the story books.

In a similar move Struik have linked with the web hub for SA Literature. Book SA aims to give local literature a stronger profile with the rapidly growing pool of on-line consumers around Africa.

Other projects currently underway include getting the photographic book "Hwange - Retreat of the Elephant" back into print with the innovative web publisher Lulu.com. As many people have contacted me with requests for the book I am endeavouring to get this title available again and will post news on this website as soon as it happens.

I would be happy to sign and send copies of my books to anyone interested.

Price £15.00 per copy plus postage and packaging ( varies according to destination).
